Vivekananda Pariwar Shakha's Charity Walk 2025

Story

Vivekananda Pariwar Shakha, Morley
We are a team of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers. Anyone wishing to do selfless service to the society is welcome to join the team.

Current Project: Vivekananda Pariwar Shakha, Morley are raising funds for –

RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield & District Branch
Earlier this year, the RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield & District Branch animal centre in East Ardsley was in serious trouble. They were running out of money and at risk of closing down.
Thanks to kind donations and amazing fundraising efforts, enough money has been raised to keep the centre open for now. This support has made a huge difference – animals in need are still being cared for, and the dedicated staff have been able to keep their jobs. But the charity still needs help. The crisis isn’t over yet.
This RSPCA branch helps rescue, treat, and rehome injured, neglected, and abused animals in the Leeds and Wakefield areas. I'm taking part in this walk to help raise more funds so they can keep doing their important work. To learn more about what they do, please visit: https://www.rspcaleedsandwakefield.org.uk/still-here-still-standing/

Updates

On September 13, 2025, the Vivekananda Parivar Shakha in Morley held their annual charity walk to support the RSPCA Wakefield and Leeds branch. Over 30 people, including Shakha members and local families, joined in to support this great cause.

We were lucky to have amazing weather, which made it even better for everyone to enjoy the walk along the beautiful Meanwood Valley Trail. The walk was a perfect chance to enjoy nature, with a few fun moments when people got a little lost in the woods!

The kids had a great time exploring and taking part in activities along the way. We took lots of pictures, and you can find some of the best moments shared on our page.
