Story

I'm running the Great North Run Newcastle for TOFS, the charity that supports those born unable to swallow because... My son Kerr was born with this condition and I want to raise as much money for TOFS as possible.

My son Kerr was born unable to swallow and the TOFS charity Helped my family and I through the worst time in our lives with support and helped us adjust to our life with Kerr's condition.

Kerr is an amazing little boy, he always has a smile on his face and is a total inspiration to us all.

I feel privileged to be running my first Great North Run for TOFS.

TOFS - TOFS (Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula Support)

TOFS offers support to people born with Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula (TOF) and/or Oesophageal Atresia (OA). These are rare congenital malformaltions of the gullet and windpipe. Immediate neonatal surgery is a treatment, not a complete cure. We are UK-based and receive no public-sector support at all.
