Fundraiser - Toby - Fareham and Crofton CC U18s South Africa Tour 2026

Story

Meet Toby, our U18 tour captain, seam bowler and all-rounder, who will be heading to Cape Town in December 2026 as part of Fareham & Crofton Cricket Club’s once-in-a-lifetime cricket tour.

Toby is aiming for no golden ducks on tour and will even be celebrating his 18th birthday while representing the club, a moment he’ll never forget. Inspired by cricket idol Ben Stokes and known for his sense of humour (including once passing off his mum’s baking as his own for match teas!), Toby embodies the team spirit and camaraderie this tour is all about.

South Africa Tour 2027 - Fareham and Crofton Cricket Club

In February 2027, the Fareham & Crofton Cricket Club U18s will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime tour to Cape Town, South Africa. From the 13th February to 22nd February, the squad will take part in competitive fixtures against local opposition, alongside training, cultural exchange, and community engagement activities.

This tour is about more than cricket. It is designed to develop our young players as athletes and individuals, building resilience, teamwork, global awareness, and a strong sense of giving back.

As part of the tour, we are proudly supporting two charities:

The Elizabeth Foundation – a Portsmouth-based charity supporting deaf children and their families.

CATCH Trust – a South African charity founded by Gary Kirsten, using cricket to create opportunity and life skills in under-resourced communities.

£248.17 raised of £2,000.00 target by 26 supporters

£245.67 donated plus £2.50 in GiftAid
