I’ll be taking on my first ultra marathon (on my birthday 🤣🤣 June 13th) a challenging 100km race along the historic Hadrian’s Wall route. Starting in Carlisle, I’ll make my way across the country towards Newcastle in what will be my toughest challenge yet. I’m excited to push my limits, complete this incredible race, and raise money along the way for a great cause.
Speed of Sight works with children and adults with disabilities who, because of the nature of their condition, are unable to hold a driving licence. This may be due to sight loss, epilepsy, stroke, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or other cognitive, sensory, or physical impairments.
Speed of Sight provides a real driving experience in real racing cars on a real racing circuit. In doing so, the charity offers an amazing opportunity that many participants never thought possible. The experience can lift self-esteem, improve confidence, and create a real sense of achievement. Many people who take part describe it as life-changing.
Every £100 raised will enable someone with a disability to receive a funded driving experience. To find out more about the charity, please visit www.speedofsight.org.
