Streets Kitchen has stood on the frontline of London's homelessness crisis, feeding thousands and providing essential support every week. Now, as we enter our thirteenth year, the need is greater—and our struggle is more desperate—than ever before.
The cost-of-living crisis is hitting us from both sides: more desperate people every week are turning to our many Street Kitchens and our Solidarity Hub, while our own running costs have skyrocketed. Our energy bills have nearly tripled, and the price of everything, from hot food ingredients to sleeping bags and hygiene products, is soaring.
We are truly struggling to keep going. Financially, our backs are against the wall, and the unprecedented rise in costs threatens the future of our vital services.
We need your urgent financial support to survive this winter.
We run multiple outreach services across eight London boroughs, providing hot food, warmth, and non-judgmental support every night and morning. Every person is welcome. It's not just about a meal; it’s about standing in solidarity with those experiencing homelessness, facing cold and isolation. We've also recently created a legal wing, SK Legal, to support those facing the growing criminalisation of homelessness.
