We are writing to update you on the progress of the planning application that has been lodged with Wokingham Borough Council for the development of a Performing Arts Studio on the school site.
We are delighted to inform you that, following a very thorough planning process, we recently received planning permission for the project.
Our sincere thanks go to former pupil Richard Anderson (Anderson/Orr Architects – Henley) for his time coordinating the planning application process.
At present, we are putting together the information required to tender the project. In addition, we are planning a number of fundraising initiatives in order to raise the additional funding required. Currently, due the efforts of the PTA, your support, and careful capital expenditure, we have already raised around £40K for the project. We anticipate at least a similar figure is required to complete the project. Fundraising activities will begin in the coming weeks. Please support the efforts if you can and/or share any contacts or links to organisations, who may be willing to financially support the project, with the PTA or school once the information is received.
This project is an important next step in our vision to improve and modernise the school premises. We hope that you are as excited as we are at the improvements the project will make to our school. Thank you in anticipation of your support to make this project a reality for our children.
