For NF2 Awareness Day this year, Oscar is walking 5k from Mablethorpe to Sutton on Sea & back (which is over 5k) on 29th May 2023 in order to raise awareness and funds for NF2 research.
As you know NF2 is giving us a rough ride this year and Oscar has started on Avastin immunotherapy treatment. Hehas also undergone major foot surgery at the end of last year due to the mobility problems caused by spinal tumours and we are just getting to grips with walking better to get him back to playing football. There is a desperate need to find new treatments for NF2 that are better and kinder for the body
There is a massive unmet need of treatment options and we need to take action to change the lives of those with NF2 before the tumours grow and take the nerves one at a time. It really is like playing Russian roulette.
Pete and Dylan have both previously done fundraisers and now Oscar is adamant and very determined that he will have his day and complete this challenge. We know its a very big ask, but really every penny helps the research get closer to better treatments.

5K is a big challenge, Oscar gets very tired after his Avastin treatment and is still learning to walk properly so its a massive thing for him, he is grateful for ANY support you can give..
