Newmor Challenges for Ponthafren

Story

This May and June, the Newmor Wallcoverings team will participate in two exciting challenges:

Challenge 1: An 11-mile walk around Lake Vyrnwy.

Challenge 2: The Welsh 3 Peaks - a 17-mile trek with a total ascent of 7,657 feet, climbing Snowdon, Cadair Idris, and Pen y Fan within 24 hours.

These efforts are all in aid of raising funds for Ponthafren, a local mental health charity.

Ponthafren is a crucial service in Welshpool and Newtown, offering two wellness, learning, and recovery centres in North Powys, along with remote and outreach services. Their mission is to foster a caring community that supports those in need and promotes positive mental health and well-being for all.

This cause is very dear to us. We supported Ponthafren during last year’s hiking challenge, and we’re proud to do so again in 2025. As a Welshpool-based business, we believe in investing in our local community. By choosing Ponthafren, we aim to make a meaningful difference close to home.

To provide a caring community, offering support to those in need and to promote positive mental health and well-being for all.
