Story

Welcome to my fundraising page. I am training  to run the Brighton Marathon on April 10th, 2022.  I am making sure I am fully motivated by raising funding for cause that is very important and personal to me.

Sibling link https://www.siblinglink.co.uk is an organisation set up to support those who have been bereaved by suicide and also provides support for those who are caring for someone affected by mental ill health. The website provides resources for those looking for help and advice regarding supporting those affected by these issues.

I have benefitted hugely from the organisation as I was bereaved by suicide at a very young age. This is a unique environment that provides a space to talk with others who understand this very particular experience.  https://www.siblinglink.co.uk/bereaved-by-suicide/

have not written my story here but my experience is reflected in the article by Aisling Bea for the Guardian a few years ago and her writing sums up some of my own thoughts and feelings.

Supporting

Sibling Link

Sibling link is an organisation that offers peer support groups to help anyone who has been impacted by a loss by suicide and also provides support for those who are caring for or worried about a sibling affected by mental ill health. The focus is on connecting, talking and listening. Other people’s experience, knowledge, emotional, social and practical help can be a vital resource. The website provides resources for those looking for help and advice regarding supporting those affected by these issues.

Our Virtual peer support groups for those unable to attend in person have been a key way for us to keep our meetings going during COVID or who are living far away.

What makes us different? Sibling Link is a FREE resource facilitated by volunteers (two co-founders) run with love and passion!
