Story

EDA's current humanitarian work focuses on emergency support in Lebanon, medical aid in Gaza, safe schools in Ukraine, school restoration in Syria, and long-term support for vulnerable communities.

They are currently active in key regions including Ukraine, Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza. Each region faces unique challenges, and they adapt their programmes to meet local needs.

In Ukraine, they fund safe schools and essential supplies for communities. In Lebanon, they provide emergency support including food, shelter and education for displaced families and refugees.

In Syria, they are restoring a damaged school in Ghouta so children can return to safer classrooms. In Gaza, they fund a mobile medical team that provides healthcare to civilians wherever they are sheltering. They also support music therapy for children affected by conflict across Lebanon and the Balkans.

Edinburgh Direct Aid International is a charity dedicated to helping those
suffering as a result of man-made or natural catastrophes overseas,
wherever we have the resources and opportunity to make a difference.

Currently EDA is working mainly in Ukraine, Lebanon and Gaza.
Working for the refugees, the displaced and others suffering
bombardment, siege and deprivation, providing food and other supplies,
medical aid, vocational and educational opportunities,
music and music therapy, shelter, and emergency aid.
