In the early hours of the morning of Monday 1st July, a group of pilgrims will be setting off from Haddenham in Cambridgeshire on a long journey through several counties, villages and forests. They will cross rivers, railway lines and motorways but hopefully will not encounter any polar bears, crocodiles or wolves.
The destination is Haddenham in Buckinghamshire where the pilgrims hope to arrive at Haddenham Summerfest (probably the UK’s biggest one day beer festival) at around 12.30pm on Saturday 6th July. They will be tired and thirsty but absolutely delighted to support the festival by sampling their fine beers in the blazing sunshine. The pilgrims hope that on arrival, in order to allow them a clear path to the bar, the crowd will part in such a way that would have made Moses himself proud.
This pilgrimage is a Haddenham Beer Festival Trust fund-raising event. The pilgrims hope to raise as much money as possible for the trust.
