Sole Bay Care Fund, is the holding charity for donations to help with the Feed all Children Project. Our aim as a community to to ensure all our children at our local Primary Schools are able to access a nutritional meal each day. We know our Schools have higher than the national average of those children already receiving free school meals. However, with the common economic climate as it is we know many other families are also struggling to feed their children. In order to ensure equal access to all we are offering meals to all children. Parents have the option of taking the meal or of course continuing to pay for their child's meal.
This currently is a pilot project for the Winter terms in just two schools, but we can already see what a difference this has made to children. Improved attendance, concentration, socialisation and general well being. Parents too benefit, less anxiety, able to re-budget for other necessities like heating. Consequently parents' well being improves as well. After evaluation, if we can raise enough funds the project will be rolled out to other schools and over a longer period It is a huge ask...but with your help we can do it..
The project sits within the wider community projects funded by local councils, organisations, voluntary groups, charities, .. Other projects include The Community Larder, Food Bank, Coats 4 Kids..
