On 29th May this year I will be walking from London 2 Brighton to raise much needed funds for The Ryan MS Therapy Centre which is located in Coulsdon Surrey. The Ryan Centre is an independent registered charity and they welcome everyone with Multiple Sclerosis, offering a range of therapies including physiotherapy, massage and counselling. I have included a link to their website below.
Some of you may know that my Dad, Mick Waters has Multiple Sclerosis and he has been supported by the centre for many years. It provides him with the opportunity to socialise as well as benefiting from the wonderful support services they offer. The last year or so has been particularly hard going for charities like The Ryan Centre as they have been unable to collect on the high street or participate in other social events. I'm hoping that I'll be able to make a difference.
On the day our team of 5 will be walking through the night, stopping to eat and address blisters along the way and we hope to make it to Brighton racecourse on Sunday morning. I have not walked anything like this distance before so wish me luck! :-)
