Fundraiser - Defiant Sports' 'Paralympic Pedal'

Story

The Paralympic Pedal is a sponsored cycling event where participants attempt to cycle the distance from Defiant Sports’ Inclusion Hub to the Paralympic Stadium in Paris – the Stade De France.

To join in, grab a sponsorship form from our Inclusion Hub (or drop us an email saying you’d like to join in), get as many sponsors as you can, and drop us a message with how far you’ve traveled after you go out for a pedal.

The total distance we’re aiming for is a whooping 305km!

All participants will receive a certificate, and those who raise £50 or more will be rewarded with a commemorative t-shirt.

Money raised from the event will go towards the renovation of the Defiant Sports Inclusion Hub.

Our mission is 'Connecting Through Sport', we believe getting and keeping people active is paramount to improving well-being and quality of life. We aim to reach those who have barriers to participation such as disabilities or long-term conditions. Whilst breaking down those barriers and increasing inclusion, we involve the community by asking "What would you like to do?" We also partner with local organisations to create the right activity sessions to engage and support those we are trying to reach. Using local research, knowledge and enthusiasm, combined with low-cost activities and a growing coaching team we are creating a long-term, sustainable community asset.
