Story

Those who know me very well will know that running is not my strong point and this is a HUGE challenge for me!

I'm running the 2023 London marathon to raise money for TOFs (the tracheo- oesophageal fistula organisation) which is a condition that one of my twins suffers with. This meant on day 2 of his life he had a complex operation to attach his oesophagus to his stomach so that he would be able to eat. He also had a very narrow airway (which is connected to the TOF) and spent a great deal of his first year in hospital because of this. He is now a thriving 9 year old!

I hope to raise more money for TOFs to raise awareness of this condition and to help other babies born with this condition in the future.

TOFS offers support to people born with Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula (TOF) and/or Oesophageal Atresia (OA). These are rare congenital malformaltions of the gullet and windpipe. Immediate neonatal surgery is a treatment, not a complete cure. We are UK-based and receive no public-sector support at all.
