Thank you for clicking the donate link

After injury and a pandemic I am eventually running the Manchester marathon on Sunday 16th April 2023 in memory of my brother-in-law Steven and to raise money for the foundation we have set up in his name.

As many of you know Steven was tragically killed on the 28th May 2018.

I have never really been a runner and only started in October 2019 to help Maz in training for her marathon attempt. The knees are holding up well so decided to take the plunge.

The foundation was setup as legacy to Steven, to further advance areas close to his heart. The name 'Be Better' came from Steven himself who always used it to help others better themselves and be positive. Whether that be at all the smalls things or bigger challenges.

So this is me trying to 'Be Better'and it's going to be big challenge.

Running 26.2 miles isn't something I ever thought I would do. Even when I could and did play football my nickname was 'statue' as I was econmical with my movement and not one for covering every blade of grass.

Trust me this is only ever going to happen once, I will not get the running bug so please give generously if you can.

Every £1 (£1 per mile!) will spur me along and all trustees will ensure your donations are put to good use.

Thank you so much I need all the encouragement I can get.
