Hi, I'm Louise, and this year I'm taking on the London Marathon to raise money for a charity that means the world to me - Hands up for Downs. They are a small, local charity based in Swansea and the surrounding area, supporting families who have children with Down Syndrome. They provide vital Speech and Language therapy, physiotherapy, and other specialist support that helps children develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive - both in every day life and within mainstream education.
This cause is incredibly close to my heart, because my wonderful son Archie has Down Syndrome and benefits directly from the amazing work this charity does. Thanks to their help, Archie - and so many other children like him - have the opportunity to reach their full potential, grow in confidence, and live a happy, fulfilled life.
Running 26.2 miles will be a huge challenge for me, but knowing that every step will help support children like Archie keeps me motivated. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference to the lives of local families.
Thank you so much for your support - together, we can help give every child the best possible start in life.
