Story

We get married on Monday 8 April at 2pm on St Lucia beach – our special Caribbean wedding.

We met one warm, sunny autumn day in 2018 in Maidstone - and soon realised this is for ever! We’ve decided on a romantic wedding – just us, off to some special place far away. Thanks to Matthew's sister Jane, who’s in travel, we found that a St Lucia wedding is ideal - no hassle!

But how could our friends and relatives share our joy, give us a perfect start to our marriage? We made a 1-item Wedding List: a gift to the charity that’s special to us, Lovey Foundation (UK) – www.loveyfoundation.org

Our lives began to change 5 years ago. This charity changes children's lives – 472 since 2013.

Your gift buys daughters and sons of subsistence farmers in rural Bawku, Ghana their uniform & equipment for primary school instead of child labour.

Lisa’s been Lovey Treasurer for 6 years. We see its great work - photos of tiny kids labouring in quarries or farm work, then their happy faces at school! School is free, but a child must have uniform and bring exercise books, pens & pencils that many homes can’t afford.

The object of this charity is to advance education for the public benefit of young people (under 20 years) living in the Bawku Municipal District, Upper East Ghana, by assisting them to attend school, in particular but not exclusively (1) to provide young people with school uniform and school equipment to attend primary education and to continue to secondary education.
