Please join us in raising money to fund new volunteer training in Nigeria during the second half of 2022.

Our UK trustees invite you to support our 2022 sponsored walk for Grace & Light's ministry in Nigeria.

We will be in West Sussex, walking up and over the South Downs and along the beautiful Arun River. Our 10 mile (16km) circular walk takes us up and over the spectacular South Downs and along the Arun River. 

Our walk is led by Jo Ann Eastgate and Peter King. Please contact them to let us know you will be joining this walk, and with any queries.

Volunteer training - Grace & Light

Grace & Light work with volunteer teams to visit churches and schools to bring the message of Christ and how believing the Gospel must result in living transformed lives. Our International coordinator, Tassie Ghata, put it like this:
“We encountered the social righteousness issues we see across Christian churches,” said Tassie. “People not understanding how to live lives that honour God, believing it is okay to follow corrupt business behaviours, bullying and abusing others, having an outer show of respectability but no relationship with Christ. Now the church leaders and congregation understand Grace & Light really well and see social righteousness and Christian lifestyle very differently.” 

Volunteers usually receive training at our base in Jos, Nigeria. Training equips volunteers with how to present the Grace & Light message of social righteousness, as well as counselling on sexual issues, including gender-based violence and HIV. Free HIV tests are offered to all who are unsure of their HIV status and support given to all who have tested.

After the initial training we invite volunteers to come back for refresher training. This is vital to keep volunteers motivated.
