Throughout 2026, our U18 squad will be taking part in a range of fundraising challenges and community events to support their Cape Town tour — and the charities we’re proud to represent. Here’s what’s coming up:
50-Day Journey to Cape Town Challenge
The squad will kick off the year with a collective endurance challenge virtually covering the distance to Cape Town over 50 days through walking, running, cycling and other fitness activities. It’s all about teamwork, commitment and pushing personal limits, with players logging miles in whatever way they can to reach a shared goal.
Sponsored Run & Wicket Challenge
Across the cricket season, players will raise sponsorship through runs scored, wickets taken and personal performance targets. Every match becomes an opportunity to compete, improve and raise funds.
Vinted Sale, BBQ & Community Auction
A social fundraising day combining pre-loved kit and clothing sales, great food, games and a live auction. It’s a chance to bring families, supporters and the wider community together while raising vital funds.
Parent Challenge: Cycle “Back to Cape Town”
Not just for the players, parents will take on their own endurance challenge, cycling the return distance. Expect determination, sore legs and plenty of support!
Quiz Night, Meal & Auction Evening
A fun social evening packed with trivia, food and fundraising auctions. Perfect for supporters who want to enjoy a great night out while backing the team.
Toy & Community Sale
A year-end fundraising sale giving unused toys and items a second life while supporting the squad’s journey.
Alongside these headline events, the team will also run smaller initiatives such as cricket scratchcards, tuck shop activities, summer fete cricket games, cake sales and car washes, all helping to build momentum, teamwork and community spirit.
