About

Join us for a sponsored walk in support of Chaseley's therapy fund!

Chaseley is one of only a few nursing homes in the country to offer on-site specialist therapy services — a resource that could make a huge difference to our residents' lives. Many of our residents have real potential to work towards rehabilitation goals or to maintain their current abilities through ongoing therapy. But too often, that potential goes untapped.

The reality is that many residents cannot afford to pay for therapy privately, and many do not meet the criteria for Adult Social Care or Continuing Healthcare funding. This leaves them without any therapy support at all, unable to work towards the functional goals that could improve their quality of life — simply because of how they are funded, not because they wouldn't benefit.

Our therapy team sees this potential every day. They know our residents could thrive with regular input, and they are right here on-site, ready to help — the missing piece is funding.

That's where this walk comes in. Therapy sessions with one of our therapy assistants cost £40 each, and we're aiming to sponsor five residents who urgently need weekly intervention but currently receive none. Every step you take helps make that possible: for every two people who join the walk with the minimum £20 donation, we can fund at least one therapy session.

Set up your own fundraising page: Everyone who takes part can automatically set up a personal fundraising page, so friends and family can sponsor your walk and help raise even more for this cause.

We'd also be very grateful if you'd consider making an additional donation when you purchase your ticket to take part — every extra bit helps us reach more residents sooner.

This fundraiser focuses on reaching residents who currently have no funded therapy at all, giving them the same opportunity to work towards their goals as others already have.

Supporting

Physiotherapy & Gym membership - Chaseley Trust

At Chaseley, we believe every resident deserves the chance to move, recover, and live as independently as possible. Our on-site physiotherapy gym is a vital part of that — but right now, it needs your help.

Our equipment is ageing and, in some cases, broken. Physiotherapy relies on the right tools: supportive exercise equipment, mobility aids, and rehabilitation machines that can withstand daily use. Much of what we currently have is outdated or no longer safe to use, limiting what our therapy team can offer and the progress our residents can make.

Many residents can't afford therapy — and don't qualify for funding. Not everyone meets the criteria for Adult Social Care or Continuing Healthcare support, and private therapy is simply out of reach for many of our residents. This means people who could genuinely benefit from regular physiotherapy — whether to regain mobility, manage pain, or maintain their independence — are missing out, not because they wouldn't benefit, but because of how they're funded.

Your donation can change that.

Funds raised will go directly towards:

Replacing broken and outdated gym and physiotherapy equipment

Funding therapy sessions for residents who cannot pay privately and don't qualify for other support

Ensuring our therapy team has everything they need to help residents work towards real, meaningful goals

Our therapists see the potential in our residents every day. With the right equipment and funding in place, we can help more people move better, feel stronger, and live with greater independence and dignity.

Please consider donating today — every contribution, big or small, helps us give our residents the support they deserve.
