The Nonesuch Orchestra, SIDE BY SIDE with students from Twyford CofE Academies Trust schools, give the first performance since 1967 of Imogen Holst's Variations on 'Loth to Depart' (1962). The Orchestra also perform her father Gustav Holst's Brook Green Suite (1933), the London première of Andrew Toovey's Perception (2023) and Caroline Shaw's Entr'acte (2014).

A unique juxtaposition of new and newly resurrected music - for everyone who would like to hear these amazing works SIDE BY SIDE, in the beautiful acoustic of St Peter's Church W4.

This concert forms part of CoMA's 2024 Festival of Contemporary Music for All.

The concert will last about one hour. All seating is unreserved. Doors will open at 4.30pm for tea, coffee and cake. Parking in local streets is free on Sundays.

Please purchase your tickets on the door. Please note:

Adult Full ticket price: £14.00 online from 13:00 on 8th March and on the door. 

Children and Students: Free. All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. College students should be prepared to show student ID on the door.  Children performing do not need to register.

An amateur string orchestra, led by professionals, promoting classical music for strings in schools and public concerts throughout London. Founded in 1961, the Nonesuch Orchestra offers daytime - and some evening - music-making for experienced players of all ages, giving concerts in schools and local festivals to introduce children to a live orchestra, work with young musicians and provide performance opportunities for post-graduate students.
