Rosemary Shrager, celebrity TV chef and author, is raising awareness of food poverty and has taken on the challenge of cycling an incredible 450 miles from Land's End to The White Cliffs of Dover, with the aim to raise much needed funds to help support food poverty charities along the south coast of England.
Her journey will take her through Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey and finally in to Kent, where she will be stopping off on route to host "family on a budget" cooking demonstrations.
As part of the popular Wimborne Folk Festival, Rosemary will be hosting a free cooking demonstration with everyone welcome to come along to meet her, talk about her cycling challenge and why this means so much to her; plus get the chance to sample some of her recipes. The garden will be open from 2pm with music from Radio Wimborne with a selection of food and soft drinks, and a plant sale available for everyone. Bring along a picnic blanket and settle in and enjoy the day, with Rosemary joining everyone on stage at 4pm.
The Dorset cookery demonstration event will be held at Wimborne Community Garden, School Lane, Wimborne, BH1 1HQ, in conjunction with Wimborne Community Garden and Wimborne Food Bank and everyone is invited to come along and support Rosemary's journey.
