The Christmas Tree Festival will be hosting its 25th Annual Music Concert on Friday 5th December 2025 at St Paul's Church in the centre of Bedford.

We are very lucky to have Amici Music performing for us again this year and in recognition of this being the 25th Anniversary there will be twenty-five musicians entertaining us and providing us with a very special pre-Christmas treat. The programme will include well known compositions by Bach, Mozart and Vivaldi as well as film favourites combined with some seasonal tunes.

The evening will, as always, be a really special and thoroughly enjoyable evening. Certainly, one not to miss!

Your ticket includes a programme and wine/non-alcoholic drink and mince-pies during the interval.

PLEASE BRING YOUR TICKET RECEIPT WITH YOU FOR ENTRY.

Please note that although this page is linked to Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends event page, half the money raised from the concert will go to St Paul's Church.

The BHC&F Fundraising Campaign - Bedford Hospital Charity and Friends

"The Friends of Bedford Hospital" and "Bedford Hospitals Charity" joined forces in 2019 forming Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends. Our primary purpose is to support patients and staff at Bedford Hospital, by fundraising to install new equipment and improve facilities and services for all. To date the combined charities have raised well over £13 million for the hospital.

We currently have two appeals:
1) "The BHC&F Fundraising Appeal". We have just raised £600,000 to purchase the add-on equipment to a basic CT Scanner that allows Cardiac Angiography to be performed without prior preparation as is currently required for Cardiac CT Scans. The scanner has now been operational since November and is a significant step forward in diagnostic capability at Bedford, allowing non-invasive coronary artery imaging, and has also improved CT guided biopsy accuracy. We have now started fundraising for our new "Children's Cancer Services Appeal". We aim to raise £80,000 to refurbish two dedicated Cancer Care side rooms on Riverbank Ward where acutely ill children who develop complications whilst undergoing treatment at Addenbrookes or Great Ormond Street hospitals can be treated urgently. We are also raising funds to pay for the first year's salary for a dedicated Cancer Care Nurse Specialist. This will be a huge step forward in urgent treatment availability for Bedford children who are very sadly undergoing cancer treatment.

2) "Primrose Car Service"  At no charge, a special team of volunteer drivers take Bedford Hospital out-patients for their radiotherapy treatment at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.

If you would like to support and donate to either of these appeals please click on their dedicated donate buttons. We pride ourselves in that all members of BHCF fundraising team are volunteers, ensuring that 99% of all donations go direct to patient and staff care.
