About

On Saturday 10 October 2026, supporters of The Ark will spend the night outside in The Ark car park to raise money and awareness for people experiencing homelessness in our community.

It will be a cold, uncomfortable night on concrete — but for one night only. For too many people, sleeping outside is not a choice.

This event is not about pretending we know what it feels like to be homeless. It is about standing with people who are going through some of the hardest moments of their lives, and raising vital funds to help The Ark continue its work.

Join us from 8pm to 8am.

Registration is £20, and each participant will create their own fundraising page. We ask everyone taking part to aim to raise £250 or more.

You can also buy a Big Shropshire Sleep Out T-shirt for £15 when you register.

Places are limited, so sign up, get your page live, and help us make this a night that really makes a difference.

The Ark

The Shrewsbury Ark helps people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We provide hot meals, showers, laundry, clothing and a safe place to go during the day. Just as importantly, we offer practical support to help people find housing, access services and start rebuilding their lives.
