60th Anniversary Concert and Ballet Premiere

The Nonesuch Orchestra's 60th Anniversary Concert on Saturday 25th June including Handel's Concerto Grosso Op 6 No 11, Bartok's Divertimento and Cecilia McDowall's Off the Ground (2021), which takes ideas from Walter de la Mare's poem of the same name beginning "Three jolly farmers" and 17th century dance tunes.

All seating is unreserved. Doors will open at 6.45pm.

The performance of Off the Ground will include a new choreography by Donna Schoenherr, with dancers from Ballet4life https://www.ballet4life.com.

This concert will support Donna Schoenherr's charity Move into Wellbeing (Reg Charity 1172264) https://www.moveintowellbeing.org.uk as well as the Nonesuch Orchestra (Reg Charity 801054).

Nonesuch Orchestra

An amateur string orchestra, led by professionals, promoting classical music for strings in schools and public concerts throughout London. Founded in 1961, the Nonesuch Orchestra offers daytime - and some evening - music-making for experienced players of all ages, giving concerts in schools and local festivals to introduce children to a live orchestra, work with young musicians and provide performance opportunities for post-graduate students.
