🚗💨 Welcome to UK Truck & Plant Group, where engines purr & hearts race—not just from the thrill of the drive, but from the spirit of giving back! This year, we’re swapping our wrenches for paddles as we dive into the splashy challenge of the Bedford River Festival Raft Race.

Our mission? To raise funds for Bedford Hospitals Charity & Friends, a cause that drives change & fuels hope in our community. Every stroke we take on the river will be a stroke towards making a difference, & we need your support to cross the finish line. 🛠️🏁

Bedford Raft Race, Sunday 21st July 2024 - ROTARY CLUB OF BEDFORD PARK

The Bedford River Festival Raft Race, organised by the Rotary Club of Bedford Park, is a highlight of the town's bi-annual River Festival. Home-made rafts crewed by teams of up to eight rowers compete in qualifying heats and a grand final on the River Great Ouse. The race attracts crowds of up to 10,000 people.

The main charity for this year's event is Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends (Registered Charity Number 299250) raising money specifically for their Paediatric Cancer Care Appeal for Riverbank Ward.

This will enable critically ill children to be treated in Bedford rather than travelling to London or Cambridge, thereby reducing the risk of infection and keeping them closer to their families.

Thank you very much on their behalf for your much needed support.
