About

Hello, we are Salt Circle Productions and as part of our 'To Whom It May Concern' new writer's night on the 27th of July we wanted to support an LGBTQI+ charity that we believe is doing amazing work in London. A portion of our ticket sales for our 'Pride' themed 'To Whom It May Concern' night will be donated to The Outside Project, however if you would like to add an extra donation, or if you cannot make it to the show and would like to donate, please donate through the page!

"The Outside Project is an LGBTIQ+ Community Shelter, Centre and Domestic Abuse Refuge in response to those within the LGBTIQ+ community who feel endangered, who are homeless, ‘hidden’ homeless and feel that they are on the outside of services due to historical and present prejudice in society and in their homes.

  - Provision of identity responsive housing and spaces for the LGBTIQ+ Community
  - Professional and ‘knowledge by experience’ peer-led support to LGBTIQ+ people in crisis
  -  Advocacy for LGBTIQ+ rights and needs within wider systems and services
  -  Promoting improved ‘social health’ and sobriety within the LGBTIQ+ Community
  -  Develop relationships with services to strengthen support for the LGBTIQ+ Community
  -  Share our knowledge to educate others on the unique & complex needs of LGBTIQ+ people"

Supporting

The Outside Project

The UK’s first LGBTIQ+ Community Shelter and Centre. A grassroots movement led by LGBTIQ+ ex-homeless, homelessness professionals and activists.

In winter 2017 we opened the UK’s first LGBTIQ+ Shelter. In Spring 2019 we opened our Community Centre in Central London, just a stones throw from the Lesbian and Gay Centre of the 80’s. Over 7000sqft of open, office and residential space, this unique and innovative project is home to our shelter and the support, creative and activist groups we work alongside.

During the 50th anniversary year of the Stonewall Riots it is fitting to flip the narrative, centring our homeless siblings and those who feel left outside of mainstream and LGBTIQ+ spaces. The centre and shelter has made an immeasurable difference to our guests who will always be loudly and proudly at the centre of this project. We’re grateful for the support from the Mayor of London and our LGBTIQ+ community and allies across the country. We can’t thank you enough for standing beside us.

 Carla Ecola, Founder and Director.
