The fundraiser was initially used to support the transport of humanitarian aid to Moldova, to help displaced people arriving from neighbouring Ukraine. The March and June 2022 trips have now happened and pictures of the trip are on the TEECH website https://teechorg.weebly.com/july-2022-news.html

TEECH are also travelling to Moldova in August 2022 to carry out the normal work of the charity, to create indoor bathrooms for the children. At the same time aid will be delivered in support of Moldovans who are looking after and housing Ukrainians, so funding continues to be important.

TEECH was established in 1998 when a group, took up the challenge from a colleague to help repair two hospitals in Bucharest. About fifty volunteers travelled to Bucharest, under the banner of â€˜BTL Aid to Romaniaâ€™ in August that year and set about painting, plastering, providing lighting and generally making the hospitals cleaner, safer and brighter places. After the success of this trip, and seeing the need to be more structured the volunteers organised themselves into a Registered Charity and hence TEECH (Telecommunications Eastern European Challenge) was born. â€‹TEECH is a small independent charity, run by an unpaid team of volunteers, which welcomes volunteers from all walks life.
