This project was born the day we lost our boy, Scott Taylor, on the 20th March 2022. Male suicide is the biggest killer of men under 40 - In Scotland, 805 deaths were recorded in 2020. After losing Scott, we did not want any other family to suffer the devastating agony that suicide inflicts and so we decided to walk side by side with any man in crisis to prevent suicide and raise awareness. We at Tartan Talkers want to provide practical and emotional support to men in crisis because suicide is brutal and destroys not only the life of the victim but it psychologically and emotionally scars families, friends and communities, its relentless ! As a community, we can all make a difference and your voice and support could potentially help us to save a life.
