Over the summer Youth Mix has recruited over 70 experienced volunteers, from a variety of business sectors - we are very excited with our latest project which provides free CV reviewing services. 

Youth Mix conducted a survey which uncovered that over 90% of young people believe their school or university needs to provide more support on how to create a strong CV and to get a job. Youth Mix are aiming to reduce this gap by providing guidance and support so young people can improve their CVs. We match experienced volunteers to the young person's career choice, the volunteer will review and provide suggestions around structure and detail rather than re-writing the CV for the young person. The outcome of this project would result in a strong CV for each young person so they are able to confidently represent themselves for future job applications.

Since our launch in August 2020, we've had over 70 young people use our CV service and have received really positive feedback. We go to great lengths to match up suitable professionals with young people to critique CVs and offer valuable advice. 

This is only the beginning and we need your help to expand this service to more young people across England. Our charity is led by our amazing roster of young leaders and our charity is 100% volunteer run (from our CV reviewers to the Board of Trustees). We appreciate your time and donation and will make every effort to ensure we do more to support our young people!

Youth Mix

Our Mission

Youth Mix has been set up in response to the severe and detrimental cuts to funding and young people’s services across England, including the mass closures of youth services across the country, leaving young people with a lack of services and support, and an increase in youth crime, self-harm and suicide. Young people are feeling more and more isolated and segregated from society with no real voice or future prospects.

At Youth Mix we aim to facilitate real change in the lives of young people aged 16 to 26 years old by facilitating informal educational activities, training opportunities and life experiences that inspire young people while providing tools and skills to help young people lead active and independent lives.
