Donation - St Matthew's Primary School Flood Damage Donation Page

About

On Sunday 10th October, St Matthew's Primary School in Chapel Allerton discovered that a pipe had burst upstairs in the Reception and Key Stage 1 block over the weekend.

This has resulted in a flood in school with extensive impact; particularly on the ground floor as the water has moved through the ceilings.

We have set up this donation page to support school in replacing damaged cushions, books, home made resources and other key items which have been so sadly damaged by the flooding!

If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would be hugely appreciated. If we all come together and contribute what we can, those small donations can add up to make a real difference for our school and children.

Update from Monday 11th October:

Staff and contractors made huge progress on Monday: water and debris all cleared out and the school cleaning team are making a start on Monday evening.

Carpets needed to be cleaned and dried and the school had 4 industrial dehumidifiers on site as of Monday evening. Staff then started restoring resources where they have been damaged.

Updates

We found out that KS2 children can return to school today (Tuesday) which is amazing news! Lots more work to do though!
