St Mary's Redlynch - Building Appeal
Beginning in June 2026, the Parochial Church Council (PCC) for St Mary's are embarking on Phase 1 of a programme of essential repairs and maintenance of the exterior of the building to ensure it is wind and watertight before they embark on repairs and upgrading of the interior and its facilities.
It is a common misconception that the church building is maintained by the Diocese. This is not so – the responsibility rests solely with the PCC supported by the the community so the cost of this work has to be found on top of the running costs (which includes the money paid to the Diocese for the provision of clergy) – in our case about £700 per week in an average year.
We believe St Mary’s is a much loved and valued iconic building in the community which villagers wish to see preserved and cared for. Any contribution, large or small, to our Building Appeal will be greatly appreciated. When making a donation on this site you will be invited to add Gift Aid at no extra cost to you - in doing so it will enhance your gift by 25%.
