Spirit of the Dog Rehabilitation Fund is an Essex based charity; we have been established since 2004 and became registered charity number 1123664 in April 2008.

Our aim is to rehabilitate and rehome dogs who are finding life difficult and have nowhere else to go, we offer them a cozy kennel whilst our behaviourists assess them thoroughly in all kinds of situations to match them to a loving foster home, and then the perfect forever home. We continue to work with owners post adoption and offer them free behaviourist support and rescue backup for life.

We have found that most owners who surrender their dogs for behavioural issues don’t want to part with them, they just don’t know how to turn their dog’s struggles around. By working with owners and teaching them new ways to communicate with their dogs we have been able to prevent many families having to surrender their best friends to rescue.

Spirit of the Dog Rescue is a member of One Voice for Animals UK who are bringing together hundreds of small animal charities, non-profits and their supporters who have all been impacted by Covid-19 and are needing additional fundraising support to survive.
