Giving young people a chance to grow through competitive sailing, Shadowfax Racing is an unique sailing charity giving young people who wouldn’t otherwise get the chance the opportunity to become part of a competitive race team. Sailing is a dynamic team sport, providing a challenging and exciting learning environment. Trainees learn not only how to sail and race, but also the social and communication skills needed to be part of a strong team, helping build their confidence. We aim for the sailing programme to be a catalyst for change in young people’s lives and to be a stepping-stone towards a better future.

Updates

Shadowfax Racing are back on the water! We ran a revised programme in 2023, getting 17 young students out on the water for a 6 day sailing adventure with Tall Ships, including basic sail training, a race and a night at anchor, as well as many completing the Competent Crew certification. 

We hope to run a similar programme in 2024, again with our partner school, Tottenham LAE. Your donations will enable us to run this programme in 2024 and enable us to help more young people experience life on the water, and to grow through competitive sailing.
