My Story: A Mother Trying to Rebuild Her Life After Domestic Abuse
I never imagined that one day I would find myself in this situation, struggling to make ends meet while trying to stay strong for my three children.
I have escaped domestic abuse, hoping to build a safer and more peaceful life for myself and my children. But although I managed to leave the abuse behind, the emotional pain and trauma have stayed with me. Since then, I have been struggling with severe depression, and each day feels harder than the last.
As a mother of three, my children are my whole world. They need me to be strong, to care for them, and to give them the love and security they deserve. I try my best every day, but inside, I am exhausted and struggling more than I can explain.
We are currently living in temporary accommodation consisting of just one bedroom and a living room. I am doing everything I can to provide for my children, but the cost of living, daily expenses, and growing debts have become overwhelming. I constantly worry about how I will manage to meet our basic needs and give my children the stability they need.
Living with depression while carrying the responsibility of raising three children alone has become incredibly difficult. Some days, I feel as though I am drowning in worries, with no clear way forward. I try to keep going for my children, even when I feel that I have nothing left to give.
The hardest part is feeling that I have to face all of this on my own. I know my situation is difficult, and I wish I could find the right words to explain everything I am going through, but sometimes the pain is simply too much to put into words.
I am not asking for a perfect life. I am asking for a chance to breathe, to recover from what I have been through, and to give my children a safer, more stable future.
Any support would mean more to me than I
