Help us to keep doing what we do in our community! We are all volunteers but we need money for petrol to collect food supplies, printing costs for posters etc and for training people in the skills they need to run our community shop safely.

Please make a donation, however small...

During the Covid pandemic, we have worked to help and support our neighbours in need in Farmhill and Paganhill.

  • We set up a 'shop' in the local bus stop in the summer, sharing food and produce donated by local supermarkets and gardeners
  • Then we partnered with a local food initiative The Long Table, to host a 'Freezer of Love' full of healthy frozen ready meals made from ingredients which were heading for landfill
  • Next step was the opening of the Farmhill and Paganhill Community Shop at The Octagon, offering groceries, fruit and veg (as well as the frozen ready-meals) on a 'pay what you can' basis
  • At Christmas, we donated 50 food hampers to local residents
  • We collect unwanted - but perfectly good - food from local supermarkets and from Fare Share south west which would otherwise head for landfill
  • Now in Tier 4 lockdown, our community shop has re-opened for two sessions a week, thanks to a small, but hard working team of local volunteers. We can also deliver to those who are isolated
We are all about sharing good food with good neighbours, supporting people in need in our community while helping reduce food waste. We are all volunteers. Help us to keep doing what we do.
