About

A brand new charity for Marple where kids support kids. Our unique, magical, adored Oliver loved this community nearly as much as he loved dragons. When he died in 2023 from a brain tumour, his family and friends resolved to create a fund that would help spread joy and happiness to local children.

Oliver's Dragons exists to help in two ways. Firstly, we want to help fund leisure and recreational facilities for children in our area and secondly, we will provide grants to families where a child is closely impacted by cancer. We intend to do this by organising fun family-oriented community events throughout the year.

Oliver's dearest friends, his 'Army', will be closely involved in the charity, helping to ensure our funds are directed in the right way.

Created in memory of Oliver Buchanan, a boy like no other, Oliver’s Dragons supports the wellbeing of children in our community of Marple, Greater Manchester. We do this in two ways. 1) by helping to fund recreation and leisure facilities and 2) by giving grants to children impacted by cancer.
