About

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Emergency Control Room staff have set the challenge of cycling the distance between the control room in Northallerton and Cornwall Fire and Rescue’s critical control room in Tolvaddon - a distance of 471 miles (on an exercise bike). The challenge will help raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity which offers specialist lifelong support for members of the UK’s fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives and also the charity Special Effect, who transform the lives of people with physical challenges right across the world through the innovative use of technology.

We're hoping that as many of our staff as possible get involved to help the Control room staff meet the target between 6th and 10th December 2021.
