Hypernova is an explosive phenomenon and the first of its kind. Fusing philosophy, comedy and jazz to provide audiences with a unique musical / theatrical experience. Their aim is not only to entertain, but also to stimulate and challenge audiences' intellectual faculties. Their influences are drawn from a plethora of musical styles including: Renaissance music, be-bop, neo-classical music and drill music.
As pioneers of the genres Neo-Bebop and Jazz Drill they fuse traditional music with contemporary sounds. Not stopping at music, they draw from philosophy and neuroscience to engage with their audiences' minds in a fashion that is simultaneously intellectual and primitive. All of this is complemented by the nihilistic comedy all of the band partake in whilst on stage.

In an effort to deliver a digital experience as truthful as possible to the Jazz re:freshed ethos, the team has worked relentlessly to recreate the feel and energy of their 17 year long, live weekly residency focussing on stage layout, lighting, audio mix, colour treatment… every single detail has been looked at very carefully for the viewer to feel the unique Jazz re:freshed vibes from the comfort of their home.
While we at Jazz re:freshed have received some funds to bring the weekly back, we still need your donations to bolster artists income for these shows and further support the work of Jazz re:freshed.
