High Peak Community Arts

About

High Peak Community Arts has been celebrating creativity and community since 1979. Our vision is simple yet powerful: a community where the arts are accessible and inspirational, belonging to everyone. We provide opportunities that inspire people to make arts and creativity their own, promoting the social and educational benefits of the arts while challenging barriers to taking part. Through our work, we celebrate the voice of our community and local area, creating projects that build self-confidence, enable self-expression, unleash creativity and facilitate learning.

Our approach is rooted in collaboration, co-creating with communities, artists and partners to develop artistic and interpersonal skills while promoting inclusivity. Guided by our values of empowerment, joy, connectivity, sustainability and adventure, we nurture confidence and participation, bring people together for sharing and learning, and support creative risk-taking and innovation. We believe in the happiness and transformative power of art to build lasting relationships and strengthen community presence.

High Peak Community Arts

We use the Arts as a tool for change in people’s lives and enable self-empowerment through high quality creative arts projects. Our three main strands are Youth Arts, Arts & Health and Children and Families across the High Peak. High Peak Community Arts exists to create opportunities for people to participate in creative arts and develop their quality of life through self expression, focussing on people who have least access to the arts. We work with agencies, special needs groups, schools, community organisations and individuals to generate participatory arts projects across the High Peak. We need your support so that we can continue to develop and deliver unique and inspiring creative opportunities for those who have least access to them. Your donation will go directly to High Peak Community Arts, and means so much to our participants, staff, and volunteers. THANK YOU!
