Much Hadham Forge Museum is set in Tudor buildings housing Nationally important wall paintings, an archive and local history galleries. Our diverse collections span the Bronze Age to the present and tell the story of The Hadhams and the surrounding hamlets. We have a working Blacksmiths forge and displays exploring the history of the craft. Our small tea room and gift shop doubles as an activity space. We offer a range of guided walks, workshops and loan boxes to groups. There is an admission charge to the main museum, however we present an annual free exhibition and access to our beautiful cottage garden is free. The museum is owned by the Hertfordshire Buildings Preservation Trust, a registered charity dedicated to the preservation of historically important buildings in the County. We need your help to continue to acquire, conserve, research, display and interpret important local objects for our collections and to expand our service to the community.
