The London Sri Guruvayurappan Temple (Charity Number: 1215070) is a registered charity based in London, which has conceived this sacred initiative. It is dedicated to the advancement of the Hindu faith for the benefit of the public, serving devotees of Sri Guruvayurappan and the wider Hindu community across London and the surrounding areas. The charity’s mission is to establish a dedicated place of worship whilst fostering spiritual growth through devotion, cultural activities and community service.

A Vision for a Lasting Spiritual Home in London

This is far more than a building project, it is the creation of a permanent spiritual home and cultural sanctuary for present and future generations.

Inspired by Lord Guruvayurappan, who embodies compassion, wisdom, devotion, and divine love, the temple will provide a serene and sacred space for prayer, reflection, celebration, and spiritual renewal.

It also seeks to preserve and celebrate Hindu traditions, while nurturing unity, belonging, and cultural harmony within London’s diverse multicultural society.

A Centre for Worship, Culture, and Community

Once established, the temple will serve as a vibrant hub for:

  • Daily worship and religious festivals
  • Cultural events and community gatherings
  • Spiritual education and learning programmes
  • Traditional music, dance, and temple arts
  • Health, wellbeing, and community support activities

It will be an inclusive space, welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds to experience devotion, culture, and community life.
