Champion Bowland exists to promote, for the benefit of the public, the conservation, heritage and improvement of the physical and natural environment of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and advance the education of the public in these areas.
We do this by encouraging giving via the Bowland Sustainable Tourism Network, securing grant funding via organisations like the National Lottery Heritage fund and through a variety of fundraising activities within the AONB.
The proceeds from these activities are then distributed across the Forest of Bowland via our small grants scheme – which businesses, individuals and community groups can apply for. Find out more about the projects we have funded in Bowland via our website: www.championbowland.org.uk.
