A different kind of running race for me!
This October, I'm getting my trainers on again to raise funds for Cure NF2 Foundation.
There is a special reason I'm travelling so far (UK-USA), using my holiday time and getting up for the start line at 03:00 on the day!
I lead the UK arm of Cure NF2 Foundation, a stand alone registered charity in England & Wales funding PhD research into NF2 at Manchester Uni. Scott, Olivia & Zac have NF2.
The Global entity have organised an event where we can fundraise as well as meet each other for the very first time. A fantastic opportunity to have fun, meet, connect as well as conduct our important quarterly board meeting together. We are travelling in from all over the world.
Board members, families, patients will be running 5k, 10k or 21k over the weekend and we are excited to use the trip to push our patient led foundation forward.
NF2 is degenerative, patients live from scan to scan. It has to stop!
Please support my run if you can. Thank you.
