In Spring 2025, we ran a short 'Digital Being Me' project, where some of our autistic and neurodivergent artists who facilitated previous 'Being Me Clubs' worked alongside two magnificent digital artists. This collaboration showed us new ways to play creatively with digital tools in a 'Being Me' style space.
Our theme for our project was exploring the prompt 'what is your ideal space?'. We've made this zine to invite anyone to create their own room-world, or to think about what their ideal space would be like.
This 16 page zine is made up of contributions from some of our autistic Being Me staff team members, who have thought about sensory joy, peaceful places, and spaces where they feel they can be themselves. Maybe this might prompt your own responses, which might be similar or different to these. Also included in the zine is a toolbox from our digital artists, inviting you to explore digital creative tools at home!
The zine will cost us £5.13 to print and post. You can make a single donation for this amount, more or less. The smallest amount you can donate is £1 and for any size donation we’re very grateful! Any funds raised from this will help us to do more work for our Being Me project.
