The Bedford Park Pedlars (Steve, Les, Kumar and Hugh) as part of their preparation for the 2025 XtraMile Challenge (https://www.extra-mile.org.uk/) are raising funds for Camvet. Officially known as The University of Cambridge Veterinary School Trust, they are a passionate and dedicated charity with a clear mission: to support the lifesaving work of the Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital. Located in the heart of Cambridge, this not for profit hospital treats thousands of beloved animals every year—each one referred for expert care, compassion, and advanced treatment.
Their role is to ensure the hospital has the essential equipment and facilities it needs to diagnose and heal. They also invest in the future of veterinary medicine by funding modern teaching tools for students and supporting Clinical Training Scholar posts that help shape the next generation of veterinary professionals. Every donation, whether it’s a few pounds or a generous gift, has a real and lasting impact. It helps them save lives, ease suffering, and train the vets of tomorrow.
