The Accessible Hoodie campaign from Be Bold Be You

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new fundraising campaign for the “accessible hoodie”!

Imagine a hoodie that has strategically placed zip, allowing for easy access for medical procedures without the need to fully undress.

This means no more feeling cold and vulnerable during hospital treatments for those being treated for illness and disease.

The accessible hoodie aims to alleviate anxiety and provide comfort to patients, whilst still keeping them stylish.

Did you know that feeling comfortable and confidence can make a huge difference when undergoing medical treatments for illness or disease? That’s why we’re on a mission to donate 50 accessible hoodies to the University Hospitals of Derby & Burton, to help both boost and foster positive feelings of dignity, self esteem and individual confidence.

All unisex, the hoodies are suitable for many facing challenging times... Did you know, for example, dialysis patients cannot wear blankets over their arms for hygiene reasons? This hoodies provides a hygienic and warm solution, featuring zips on the arm as well as a soft fabric and loose design.

Please help us raise £2000, this festive season, to give those going through unexpected and hard times a little comfort right here, in the East Midlands. Be Bold Be You is in the middle of being turned into a charity. We offer professional photographic studio portraits for those affected by illness and/or physical scarring such as surgery or burns, for example. The studio experience includes time in hair and makeup, time in the studio & a portfolio of ten, professionally printed, favourite images for the participant to take home and keep as a confidence booster for many years to come.
