Our vision is to create a community that is free of hunger and food insecurity.
Our mission is to provide short-term, emergency support with food during a crisis. We aim to relieve that immediate pressure by providing food, but also offer additional support so that people won't need to use the food bank again in the future
No one in our community should have to face going hungry. That is why we provide three days, of nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of Foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
We have found that a simple box of food makes a big difference to people, helping prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems.
