APARU – Supporting Argentines at home and abroad 🇦🇷 🇬🇧
APARU is a small, volunteer-led charity rooted in the community of Argentine migrants and their supporters living in the UK. Its mission is to strengthen connections within this community and support their personal and professional growth, while also contributing to the social development of Argentina. In this way, APARU creates impact both in the UK and in Argentina. As we describe it in short: "APARU supports Argentines at home and abroad"
On one hand, the Argentina Impact Team designs and delivers a variety of fundraising initiatives to finance projects that support vulnerable communities in Argentina, carried out in partnership with local charities.
On the other, the Local Impact Team organises events and programmes to help the Argentine community in the UK connect, thrive and grow. These include workshops for small business owners, networking events, a knowledge exchange programme, a mentoring programme for migrant women, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
APARU’s volunteers meet monthly to plan activities, welcome new collaborators, share ideas, and coordinate their work in a collaborative and supportive space.
Our vision is to become the most impactful organisation of Argentines abroad.
What makes APARU unique is that every initiative is designed and delivered by volunteers, which keeps costs low and maximises our impact.
